The business breakfast will include presentations from Peter Joyce, Assistant Head of Aerospace, Marine and Defence Unit at Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) and the lead policy official for the implementation of the Marine Industrial Growth Strategy, and Andy Linegar, Executive Delivery Manager, Marine Industries Leadership Council and Programme Manager, Defence Future Programme, Babcock International Group plc, who will be speaking about the UK’s first ever integrated strategy for the growth of the marine industries and how it establishes a foundation for sustainable long-term cooperation. The University of Greenwich will also be giving an overview of programs to support Maritime Industries and businesses in the South East region. The Thames and Channel NMDG, the largest maritime ‘cluster’ in the UK, brings together a wide range of companies involved in ‘maritime industries’ who focus on supply chain development and the future sustainable growth of coastal communities, promoting and developing excellence in all maritime activities related to skills, education and business.
