We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Human Resources Business Partner into the team, on a 12-month fixed term contract. You must be available to join us at the beginning of May 2021.
You will be working in an area which is key to the success of the Authority. The job is challenging and diverse, and you will be at the forefront of the provision of a high quality responsive, operational HR service to all employees and managers.
As one of two Human Resource Business Partners you will work directly with a variety of departments across the organisation, providing a full range of services such as recruitment, employee relations, learning and development and general support to the managers and staff within those departments. You will also be involved in wider work such as policy reviews, wider organisational change, reward and benefit, and health and wellbeing initiatives.
You will also be responsible for updating the employee data for the areas of the business that you will look after, so high-level experience of HR systems is essential. Previous experience of Unit4 Business World and the use of learning management systems is highly desirable.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold either a graduate or post-graduate level qualification in Human Resources Management. You should also have Chartered membership of the CIPD. You must be self-motivated and be able to work cohesively as part of a team. You should have strengths in problem-solving combined with analytical, communication, time management and interpersonal skills. You will also have a real passion for further developing the wider people agenda in the PLA.

To apply, please complete an application form (Word, PDF) and send it to recruitment@pla.co.uk before the closing date of 12 March 2021.
Interviews will be held as soon as possible afterwards.
